All construction with issued building permits require inspections by one of our Building Inspectors.
Booking a Building Inspection |
- Building inspections are to be booked with 24 to 48 hours notice by calling 519-379-6034
- Please provide the permit number, type of inspection and civic address when booking an inspection
- It is not always possible to accommodate last minute inspection requests or specific time of day due to volume of requests
- If you are not ready for your inspection by 9am on the day your inspection is booked, please contact the office to cancel your inspection

Mandatory Inspections |
A Building Inspector will be required to review your project in several stages during construction. The inspections required wil vary depending on the project. Please contact the building department if you are unsure if you require a specific type of inspection.
Any building component covered before the mandatory inspection has been completed and passed must be uncovered for inspection and passed before the completion of the project.
The below lists are not necessarily a complete list of inspections that may be required for your particular project. Any additional required inspections will be determined by the Building Official.
